“The world’s greatest ornithological spectacle”. This park lies within the precincts of the shallow alkaline lake which has been since designated as a “World Ramsar site”. Here you have the opportunity of viewing Flamingos among the thousands of birds found within this habitat.
Four of the big five animals also exist here and the chance of viewing them is considerable. The park has also being successfully used as a Rhino sanctuary to assist increase the number endangered White and Black Rhino. Game and birdlife here is in abundance.
When in Nakuru you can also visit the Menengai Crater. It’s a breathtaking marvel and a scenic beauty to behold. The volcano is dormant but there are still hotspots at the floor and streams of vapors can be seen coming from the crater.
